Langkawi 樸素又美麗 （二）

What can we eat in Langkawi? Actually the food is rather similar in Singapore.

1. Breakfast:
Besides the usual continental style breakfast in the resort, there are also Asian style such as prata, mee suan, nasi lemak etc...



2. Lunch:
I have lunch at The Loaf. When I was there, I do not know it is owned by 馬來西亞前首相 - Dr. Mahathir. I only know it when I back in Singapore. The bread there are quite famous. Lucky I 誤打誤撞 and enter this restaurant.



3. Dinner:
My friend prefers to eat Chinese food. So we explored some nice coffee shops for dinner. We have 3 dishes 1 soup every night. Ha!




4. Snack:
There are some road side snacks you can buy. I have bought one fried sotong. Taste yummy. At the airport, I also bought a nice 茶葉蛋﹗

Langkawi 樸素又美麗 （一）

最近 I saw a Malaysia Airlines promotion to Langkawi. Air ticket plus tax is only $150! 一時衝動 and booked the air ticket. Viola! I am here in Langkawi for a relaxing 3D2N trip. 讓我一一介紹。

1. Airline.
I took Malaysia Airlines. Many people still unaware that Malaysia Airlines is a 5 stars rating airline. $150 for the trip to Langkawi is really a steal. The flight attendance is friendly. Now green is in so the food served is packed in biodegradable mealbox. But 不知道 why October flight will stop over 30 mins in Penang.



2. Airport
Langkawi airport is not a busy airport. The best part is there is no aero-bridge. We get a chance to walk to the airport from the ground like in LCCT in KL. Although it is small, there are no lack of shops and eateries place.



3. Hotel
I have booked Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa. It is a beach resort and very near to the airport. By driving, within 10 mins will reach. The rate of this resort cost is a bit more on the high side. The good thing about this hotel is that someone pick me up at the airport. The check in is fast and staffs are friendly. My room is a sea facing room. Standing at the balcony, the beach is right in front of you. The resort is all made of wood and this give me a Bali feeling. Ha!

HSBC 謹慎到超麻煩

HSBC has been giving me a lot of headaches. As there is a change in credit ruling lately in the liability of credit card users is capped at $100, so I guess this makes HSBC more uptight. Whenever I try to use this card overseas, I will run into problems. The latest problem is I used their card to book a hotel in Hong Kong months ahead. Who knows? Just before the day I suppose to fly, I got an email from the hotel said my card is declined! 氣死人了﹗This is the first time in my life to meet such problem and they did not even call me to check. Now I will not use their card unless there is a real good discount locally. The world local bank. Think again.

香港 Love is in the air （四）

到了 Hong Kong 哪裡可以不吃 Hong Kong dim sum? But if you are looking for those traditional shop that has trolley pushing around, you will be disappointed. Nowadays, you really need to search hard for one in Hong Kong. Another 非吃不可的就是許留山﹗This is Lock's recommendation. I always eat the dessert there when in Hong Kong. Ha!

香港 Love is in the air （三）

I visited my cousin house and it is really very small. Each block is very tall and built closely together. In Hong Kong, everything needs money! They have a clubhouse and all facilities need money. The condo does not come with a parking lot. You have to rent or buy one lot! The price for loan is S$600 per month and if buy is S$100000!!!! 我暈了﹗﹗

This time round I also managed to go places like 西貢 and take their 小巴。If not my cousin brings me, I dun think I only how to take 小巴 as it is more for the locals. 呵呵﹗西貢 is very east part of Kowloon. It is a sort of fishing town where fishermen are there to sell fish on their boat. But beware! That side is 愛狗人士的好去處。 So you must look carefully where you step or else you will 踩到“地雷”﹗哈﹗

香港 Love is in the air （二）

銅鑼灣 is one of Hong Kong busiest shopping district. Actually I always frequent there when I was in Hong Kong partly is because my relative stays there. But mainly that side got a Sogo which I love to go as I always got things to buy there. Another thing I like about Hong Kong is the steamboat buffet. You can always eat till your hearts content until in the middle of the night. The shops like 不打烊﹗

After 愛之旅 in Kuala Lumpur, I 馬不停蹄的 travel to Hong Kong to witness another wedding. This time is my cousin wedding. This is the 2nd time I attended wedding dinner in Hong Kong. The last time is last year. This time round I did not really shop or sight seeing as I only stayed for 4days. I managed to get cheap air ticket. $384 on Cathay Pacific. Really a steal!! But to my disappointment, the weather is warm like Singapore.

幫助人 得Royce Chocolate

I have helped a colleague in her work lately. To my pleasant surprise, she gave me Royce Chocolate to 報答 my help! It is a 相當名牌 chocolate from Japan. I was like 不好意思 as I really did not help much also. Ha.. 所以助人為樂﹐必有回報。

Surrogates 中規中矩

Surrogates is a science fiction movie that talks about humans using remotely-controlled robotic bodies to represent their actual daily life. So the human will be safe from damage done to a surrogate that is not felt by its owner. However, an actual murder happened to the human through damaging the surrogate. Bruce Willis become involved in the case and trying to find out what has actually happened. The movie plot is 熟口熟臉。Not much of a 驚喜 element and it is surprising quite short considering a science fiction film. Overall, this movie is only passable.

I am exploding 氣炸了

I got many things 都不能如願以償。Many unlucky things also happened. Many work all come at the same time. Many things dun concern me are been thrown to me. I really like a 活火山﹗即將爆發﹗啊﹗﹗﹗Boom..... I need to go for another holiday!!

2nd hand car - 真是傷腦筋﹗

My friend just bought a 2nd hand car as he did not want to pay too much for a new car. Although I 極力 tell him to get a new one since he can afford it, he just would not listen to me. 果然不聽老人言﹐吃虧在眼前。呵呵。His car got problem after 1 week. Then another problem in another week. So I feel the best is to get a brand new car. I feel lesser problem.

Netbook 散熱墊

My HP netbook is rather hot at the base after using for a while. So I bought a 散熱墊 to dissipate the heat. This 散熱墊 is handy as it can be folded and keep away easily. I got it cheaply for only about $7 at JB!

Kuala Lumpur 愛之旅景點篇

Previously my KL friend Lock had driven me around to visit some nice 旅遊景點。But this time round he is busy with his 終身大事。So he could not find the time. Haha. But I have 2 other Malaysian friends staying in KL. So they brought me around for a visit. The first 景點 is Merdeka Square. It is also known as Dataran Merdeka (自由廣場)。It is situated in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. It was here the Union Flag was lowered and the Malayan flag hoisted for the first time at midnight on August 31, 1957. Since then, Dataran Merdeka has been the usual venue for the annual Hari Merdeka Parade (National Day Parade).



The next 景點 is Batu Cave (黑风洞)。Batu Caves is a limestone hill, which has a series of caves and cave temples. It takes its name from the Sungai Batu or Batu River, which flows past the hill. The cave is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, dedicated to Lord Murugan. The last time I been to Batu Cave is N years ago. So this time I really want to 重遊舊地。

Kuala Lumpur 愛之旅

I went to Kuala Lumpur again. But this time I went there not for shopping or sightseeing. I am on a mission. This time round I flew to KL to attend my friend - Lock's wedding!! I 給足Lock's 面子 to 見證 his wedding. 呵呵﹗His 出場方式 is unique. Lock sings his way out to 迎接 the bride. 不愧是歌神﹗His wedding is on Sunday but I was in town since Thursday to 趁機 escape from work. 呵呵﹗

G Force 3D 全新視覺﹗

It has been a long time since I watched a show in 3D in cinema. 為了回味 what is 3D show, I caught G Force 3D. The show revolves around a special FBI organization of trained secret agent animals where they go on missions in certain situations which is not easy for the human agents. It is really entertianing. Good story flow and pure clean fun. Best of all, it gives me a whole new experience in watching movie. The 3D effect is really very good. I will try to catch 3D show next time though it is more expensive.

一個我不想做的 Presentation

I have a presentation which I very reluctant to do. I already told my boss about it but he insists that I should do it. So I give him 面子 and did the presentation. Overall, it seems ok but the outcome is not what I expected. Really 心情 no good~!

Johor Bahru 一日遊

It is a long time I went to Johor Bahru. Although it is only 一河之隔﹐I seldom cross over. This time round I signed up a one day tour. They bring us to have mini “滿漢全席” lunch and then leave us at a new shopping mall 五福城。The new custom at JB looks impressive and quite efficient. The lunch is not bad but the new shopping mall is boring. The next time round I think I will go JB free and easy as the new custom now looks very safe.

免費 HP Netbook

I always wanted to get a laptop cos once in a while 我的工作所需。However, I am not willing to pay for one which I find that I will very underutilized it. Lucky me! Starhub has a promotion. Re-contract my maxonline to get a HP netbook. Although it is not a "real laptop", it is good enough for me as I only need some word processing power. Best of all, it is free! 哈哈﹗

Funan DigitaLife Mall 沒人

Sitex is here again but I decided to give it a miss cos I know it will be 人山人海。I also have nothing much to buy. So I end up went to Funan DigitaLife Mall instead. To my expectation, it is rather empty. But maybe it is empty usually. Ha.. Any way, I really have a good time slowly seeing the electronics goods and gadgets..

HSBC 有責任感

I like buying things online and lately I try to purchase something using HSBC card. Guess what? They called me several times to check if I am using the card! 好像被跟蹤似的﹗But I guess they are just trying to protect both their and customer interest.

Sentosa 好玩

I have not been to Sentosa for about 4 months since my friend Lock came to Singapore. This time round I step onto Sentosa again as I have a event there. I took a chance to sit the Skyride. When we went up, it is very high and my friends started to scream! They are really 誇張﹗But I do agree that it is very 刺激﹗So Lock, I will bring you there if you come here again. Ha!

我爱 buy shoes

I have a friend commented me that:"You are 鞋狂﹗" Ha.. Just because I bought a few nice pairs of shoes within a week does not make me that. Maybe they hate my shoes design. But I do admit that I bought many working shoes lately. So I guess I need to stop.

金嗓蔡琴 CD

I was passing by a CD shop and suddenly 心血來潮 of thinking to buy 蔡琴 CD. I love her 老歌 and her crystal clear voice. I end up buying a 4 discs set for $34.90 which I feel is quite worth. Using my Creative 7.1, I truely enjoy her 天籟之音﹗

District 9 有深度的 Alien Show

District 9 talks about a group of aliens stranded in South Africa and then housed in District 9 refugee camp in Johannesburg. After a while, the humans dislike them and the government forced to evict them to another area. The lead actor is a bureaucrat assigned to head the eviction is exposed to an alien substance that alters his DNA. So he has to work with alien to help them get home and also save himself. This show is shot in such a way like a documentary series. Looks refreshing. I tot it is some B grade movies but the special effects is surprising good. The story is quite touching. Overall, I quite like it though 我頭暈 after watching this.

The Proposal 相當不錯

The Proposal is a romantic comedy about Sandra Bullock forces her assistant Ryan Reynolds to marry her after learning that she will be deported to Canada. Then, as usual they really fall in love in the end. It is actually like While You Were Sleeping. The lead actress pretend to be engaged to the lead actor. Then, found out that the lead actor family is so nice and she could not lie anymore and tell the truth. Indeed, this show is low on 新鮮感。But luckily, the movie 勝在 the chemistry between the two leads and of cos 美麗的 Alaska 景色。Watch out for the 銀幕處裸 of Sandra Bullock. As for the ladies, watch out for Ryan Reynolds. Ha!
