港澳 Fun 任我行 3

So what did I eat in 港澳?

1. Breakfast
This is the famous 連鎖店 - 大家樂 breakfast set. I always could not get a seat over the weekends. The only better time is about 10.30am during a weekday.

Breakfast at McDonald. Hong Kong McDonald sold some very local food not found in Singapore. Like this 通心粉 for morning meal.

2. LunchThis is a Taiwan dish sold in food court at Citygate mall in 東涌。 The soup is quite tasty.

Curry chicken rice sold in typical 茶餐廳 along Causeway Bay. The curry 一點都不辣。

豬扒意大利面 found in Macau. Their 豬扒 seems very famous cos everywhere they selling 豬扒包。

3. Dinner
拉面和小龍包 which is typical meal that can you find in this Crystal Jade style restaurant. However, this is not Crystal Jade but a nice Chinese restaurant in Langham Place mall in 旺角。

Finally went to eat fast food, Burger King, at Victoria Peak as it was quite late and most shops are almost closed.

A nice spread of sumptuous meal at a Chinese restaurant in East Point City mall at 坑口。

4. In between mealMacau infamous 葡式蛋撻 sold along the shops towards 大三八牌坊。

The famous 許留山 to have their mango dessert.

A nice orange juice at Regal Causeway Bay lounge. This is a complementary drink which the hotel compensates us for delaying our check in.

Starbucks coffee and cooling tea at 大嶼山。

The vegetarian dessert and 豆花 sold in a canteen in 大雄寶殿 at 大嶼山。

聪嫂私房甜品 in East Point City mall at 坑口。This shop is quite famous as the 老闆娘 worked in canteen in TVBS and many celebrities know her. Andy Lau also helped her to 題字 and it is hang in the store. One of their hot selling dessert is their durian ice which I dun eat. Ha.. I took coconut lychee ice which is also another hot selling item.

港澳 Fun 任我行 2

I choose a day and took a boat ride to Macau. It is a 1 hour ride from Hong Kong. I only have about half a day as I need to go back to Hong Kong to meet my friend at about 6pm, so I only went to three places.


1. 大三八牌坊
Ruins of St. Paul is the most iconic place in Macau. The ruin now consists of only the facade and is enlisted as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Centre of Macau in 2005.


2. 大炮台
Fortaleza do Monte is the historical military centre of the former Portuguese colony of Macau near Ruins of St. Paul. On top of this fort, you get a panoramic view of the mainland area of Macau.


3. 漁人碼頭
Fisherman's Wharf is a theme park in Macau just besides the ferry terminal. It is rather big with 150 stores and restaurants in buildings built in the style of different world seaports such as Cape Town, Amsterdam and Venice, six rides, a slots hall, a 72-room hotel, and a casino and many more. It needs half a day to really explore everything.

港澳 Fun 任我行 1

I love Hong Kong and always will travel to this lovely place once a year. This time round I went with a friend and she never been to Hong Kong before. So I 充當導遊 to bring her around. Seems like I becoming half a Hongkonger. Ha..

I took United Airline this time as I can maximize the time in Hong Kong. The good thing is it took off at T3 which is not that crowded. The security is tight but I am not complaining. As my flight is very early, I was served only light snack throughout the less than 4 hours flight.




I stayed in Regal Causeway Bay this time round instead of my usual favorite L'Hotel. The location is good as it is right in Causeway Bay. But to the nearest MTR need to walk about 5 to 10 mins. I find the room is ok but the hotel is always very crowded and my room is not ready till 5pm!

My hair style 好悶

Just went to cut my hair and found that my new hairstyle is 十年不變﹗So boring! I have told my hair stylish to give me a new style but I think she dun dare to stray off too much and stay conservative. I think I need a new hair stylist.

Date Night 好玩又好笑

Date Night talks about a boring married couple going on a date one night and 捲入一場黑與白的鬥爭。The lead casts, Steve Carell and Tina Fey, have good on screen chemistry and the story is fun. Great witty acting and dialogues make the show very interesting. The show is really hilarious. Worth a shot.

勤於 Exercise

運動好比靈芝草﹐何必苦把仙方找。I have been exercising more regularly lately. Not really due to 比靈芝草 but more on 減肥。 Ha! I also more strict in what I eat. People ask me 受了什麼刺激? Frankly speaking, none. Maybe 愛美吧。呵呵﹗Cos I found myself like getting fatter everyday and wish to really do something and not just complaining. So I must 加油﹗But of cos main reason for exercising is good for health!

終於打完 My Game

I have played Ninja Gaiden 2 for the past 1 month. I 費寢忘食 and finally completed the game! Yeah! The final boss is really hard to slay. So now I will move on to complete my other lost forgotten games. Ha.

戀上 Hokkien Songs

Lately I have been watching Taiwan 福建長壽劇 such as 愛﹐台灣龍卷風 and I began to like some of their Hokkien theme songs. One is 我問天 and another is 世間人。They are very typically Hokkien songs but the feelings the singers bring out really matched the shows! Ha.. My friends all never expect I watch such show and cannot imagine I even like the songs. Anything nice I will like. Hoho..

燒焦的 The Uncle Sam's Claypot

I visited The Uncle Sam's Claypot at City Square Mall due to some good reviews online. I ask the waitress what is good and she recommends 砂鍋鹿肉 and I said ok. But end up my order becomes 砂鍋雞肉﹗So I asked her how come my order changed and she insisted that I ordered chicken! First impression of this restaurant become negative. Then, they served up their 鎮店之寶 - 砂鍋雞肉 and I was hoping 錯有錯着。The food looks appetizing but that stops here. To my disappointment, it is not nice. The rice 燒焦味 is really too much and 難以如口。So end up I only eat the meat and the whole pot of rice is wasted. I also ordered the soup and vegetable and luckily they taste quite nice. Overall, I think I wun go back again.

天氣酷熱 I could not sleep

Lately the weather becomes very warm. After bath, I will sweat again easily. I have to resort to air con. If not, full blasting of fan at me is not good enough as the air is 熱的。Another way is to sleep on the floor which makes me 腰酸背疼﹗I hope it will rain soon.

Clash of The Titans 3D 脫離原著

I always like 希臘神話。So I was very looking forward to Clash of The Titans. However, I have watched the original 1981 version of Clash of The Titans. So I was not quite happy when this version changed a lot of story line. But nevertheless, I still quite enjoy the show. It has remake a classic with the latest special effect. The story flow is good and it is exciting in every part. Perhaps the let down is the 3D portion plus the easy ending. Overall, it is very entertaining.

清明時節雨紛紛 Tomb Sweeping Day

Time flies as 清明時 is here again. This time round my family and I went to 掃墓 on the holiday. As expected, it is extremely crowded. We were at Mandai at about 10am and the car queue 排到不知到那裡去﹗So in the end we park at a far place and walk. As 翡瓏山﹐the number of people is lesser. The final destination is Lim Chu Kang. As usual, it will usually rain when we were about to finish 掃墓 and so it is really 清明時節雨紛紛﹗

土耳其餐 Nice!

Suddenly 心血來潮 wanted to try out 土耳其餐。With the recommendation by the boss, I ordered a lamb leg and one in house special dish - a kind of wrap. 老闆果然沒介紹錯。The 羊腿肉 is really very tender!! One bite and the meat comes off very easily. Not tough at all. Best of all, it has no 羊臊味﹗The in house special is also quite nice. Sort of vegetable po piah with white sauce. Ha.. Overall, the food is good, boss is friendly but just that exotic food usually come at a slightly higher price.

Earth Hour 你參與了嗎?

Earth Hour falls on 27th Mar 8.30pm to 9.30pm. Singapore this time round has actively participated in this event. I happened to be at Changi Airport T3 and they announced that certain part of the airport has some lights switched off. So when the event is over, they fired up the light. I was like:"Wow! 好亮啊﹗" This means that just now when many of the light are off, it actually looks ok. But now with all the lights up, I feel it is a bit overkill. Ha! So maybe airport can consider turning down some lights in certain areas where it is not critical say after midnight etc.. to save the Earth.

Bangkok Jam 泰式叉燒

I got a voucher and can be used in Bangkok Jam. Thus, I decided to pay this restaurant a visit to see how the food taste like. It is a weekday night and the restaurant has a few customers which 我喜歡 as I love to dine with quiet surrounding. Open up the menu and you get to see the usual Thai fare such as green curry and tom yam soup. I ordered a tom yam soup and one Chinese style food - 叉燒 with some sauce. Wrap it with the lettuce and it tastes great. The soup is nice but what I like about is the 叉燒。It is really chewy and the sauce is great! Maybe due to a quiet night, the service is also quite good. Bangkok Jam is located in Great World City.

Lame 越光寶盒

I am quite 鬱悶 lately and that is why i decided to catch a lame movie 越光寶盒。Think of Scary Movie series, Date Movie, Meet The Sparatans etc... and you will know what to expect in this show. It is mainly a spoof of many movies. The main story line will of course be spoofing of 周星馳's 月光寶盒。There are many wacky and lame moments. It is funny but many will find it senseless. But this is what I am looking for to brighten me up. There are many big names that 客串 for a few seconds. Overall, it is fun but some jokes try to hard. So please leave your brain at home.

Alice In Wonderland 3D 沒想象的好

This story is loosely based on the 原著。Alice has grown up and once again fallen into the rabbit hole. This time round she needs to rescue the people in the wonderland by facing her greatest fear. Overall, the show is not as good as I thought it would be. The special effect is nice with creative colours and designs. But the overall package still lacks of the "wow" factor. I feel there is no need for 3D. But the soundtrack is rather nice.

Company 的老頑固

Never realize my company actually still has 老不死, 老頑固 staff. This type of outdated staff should be deleted from my company! Really got attitude problem. No wonder nobody likes him.

Breakout 相當過癮

Breakout is a performance by a group of Korean dancers. It is a mixture of breakdance moves with stunning gymnastics, martial arts and hilarious physical comedy. The show is rather funny and they actually 互動 with the audiences by running down to seats as part of their performance. Everyone of them 都是舞林高手。Overall, I quite like it. Just that they dun have any merchandise for me to buy. Ha!

IT Show 2010 人滿為患

IT Show is here and as usual I will go and take a look even though it is very packed with people. From this show, you can see the 主題 and 趨勢 is to buy laptop and netbook. One whole level 4 exhibition hall is devoted to it. Another up and coming 趨勢 is TV media player. It is getting more and more popular which I am thinking of getting one in next 電腦展。

錦衣衛 Encore

這是我第二次看錦衣衛。My friend wanted to catch this so I 捨命陪君子。Even this is the second time, I still enjoy it very much. But I am quite surprised that there are still many people in the cinema watching this as it has been out for 1.5 months! So I am not alone.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief 神話再現

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief talks about Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, being accused of stealing Zeus lightning bolt. Zeus gave Percy Jackson 14 days to return or a war will break out. The movie has 大量魔幻怪物元素。比 Harry Potter 更 mystical. The story plot is very simple but the movie flows very well. Overall, I quite like it.

被 Sabo!!

Today got a company event and I got sabo to go on stage and play games! 他們把快樂建立在別人的痛苦上﹗So embarrassing (Aunty Lucy)! Ok lah. I now become rising stars in my company. Ha!

Nokia N97 Mini 價格棒

I am thinking of getting a new handset to replace my LG Viewty and eyeing on Nokia N97 Mini. This phone looks nice but 價格偏高。I am looking at something below $100. Then, good thing comes along. I came across a Starhub road show at HarbourFront. Discount after discount, I get the phone for $148!! They even throw in a $50 shopping voucher. So effectively, the phone is $98! The only bad thing is 沒有我要的 bronze colour. So you take some, you give some.

On 元宵節, my friends wanted to "Loi Hei" and suggest to go Mellben Seafood. I was quite reluctant as I know it will be long queue! As expected, we queued almost 1.5 hours before getting a seat. The Bee Hoon Crab is the 招牌菜 and is a must try dish. If you want to come without queuing for so long, try

I was driving along CTE on a rainy day and had a pleasant surprise. 花車 from this year 妝藝大游行 were traveling along this road to Yishun. So I managed to get an upclose view when I drove passed them.

新年 @ Chalet

This year Chinese New Year, my family and I decided to stay in Singapore to celebrate instead of flying overseas like we always do. Together with some relatives, we booked 5 rooms at Downtown East. First night dinner we BBQ and 初三 we have a very good buffet dinner. Ha! 肥了！
