Playing games
Today I was on a one day course. This course involved group participation and game play. It is held in Jurong Park. I have been to one of this similar course about 5 months back. It is very fun and exciting. You will get to rack your brain to overcome the problems and get a chance to interact with other people. Hope to get to do some more of these courses in future.

Father's birthday part 2
Today, our family is celebrating my father's "english" birthday. We went to eat at a restaurant at PSA building. Maybe it is at office building. That is why there are not many customers on weekends. We order the 8 course dinner. Over all not too bad except the fish. The fish is not nice. The mud taste too strong. In the end, nobody really eat that fish. This dinner cost us around $300. But the upside is the service! It is quite good. The staffs there are very friendly and helpful!
After the dinner, we went to the nearby Labrador Park. Surprising, it has changed a lot over the years! Last time was dark and errie. Now is slightly brighter and crowded. Many ppl come here to roller blade, fishing and picnic. At that place, we went to see the "Long Ya Men" which the newspaper reported on what Zheng He has seen when he sailed past that area 600 years ago. It is a sort of rock structure. My nephew is very scared of that rock! I was quite amused as he is those "sky not scare, ground not scare" kid. Any way, we finally help him to overcome his fear. Cute!

COE
Today latest COE bidding result is out. Cat A dropped about $1k and Cat B dropped about $2k. This is a great news! Coupled with this great news is that LTA is going to release about 12k more COE quota per month for the next 6 months! I hope this will drive down COE price to say $10k? Ha! I intend to get a car next year. Hope the price of my dream car hit my budget by then.

Snow Wolf Lake
Just came back from watching the chinese musical Snow Wolf Lake (Xue Lang Hu). I bought the 2nd most expensive seat which cost me around $190. But a bit far. I cannot see the face of the performers. The three lead casts are Jacky Cheung, Evonne Hsu and Nnadia Chan. Overall, it is quite a nice performance except the last part. During the last scene, the spot light shine directly at my eyes and destroyed my viewing pleasure. Otherwise, this musical will be near perfect. Another part I dun like is the lyric of a song sang by Nnadia Chan was changed! I prefer the original version which is sang by Kit Chan. Once again, I salute their powerful voices and lungs!

Seafood galore!!
Today, my ex-labmate wanted to treat us seafood dinner. The reason is he was awarded a PDF scholarship. This scholarship worth a lot! So he feels that is a need to treat us to "shut us up". Ha ha! We end up eating at Red House seafood restaurant at East Coast. Very nice! Total spent about $290 for 8 people. We ordered crabs, fish, prawns etc.. Very full! One bad thing is that carpark needs money. My friend eats the coupon time by 25 mins! But bad luck for him, the coupon inspector comes early by 10 mins and he got a summon. I eat only 15 mins and lucky nothing happen. Heng!

Geylang sipaku geylang
Just came back from Geylang eat durians. Opps... I should say just came back from Geylang acompany my friends eating durian as I am a durian hater. Ok, so I am a fake Singaporean as most people would label me. Ha ha! Any way, today I suppose to have my violin lesson. But my supervisor brought a Russian student along and insisted I should follow them. This Russian student wanted to eat durian very much. So my supervisor wanted to bring him to try out. We first have our dinner. I asked that student what he likes to eat. He said anything. But when I suggested to eat frog porridge, he gave me those horror look. Heh heh! But in the end, he decided to try eating any way. After the dinner, we proceed to eat durian. I just drink cocount drink and they ate their durians. The Russian student gave up after eating 3 pieces. But he said it is very good liao for a first timer. Ok, at least he is braver than me. Ha ha!

Hong Kong
I am thinking of going to Hong Kong over the October weekend. So I called up my usual travel agent and asked to see if there are any good promotions going on. The agent quoted me some packages and I got a heart attack! It is so expensive! For a 4 days 3 nights tour staying at a 3 stars hotel with no breakfast, flying on Cathay Pacific with airport transfer need around $700! Later, I found out that it is due to double peak period. The peak season of both Singapore and Hong Kong. As my friend just went to Hong Kong about 2 months back and he only spent about $500. He took United Airline and stay at a 4 stars hotel. So I took that as bench marking. I have done some more research. If flying off after 15th of November, the hotel will be cheaper. If we choose to take a budget airline, I think going to Hong Kong staying in a 4 stars hotel with Airport express transfer, less than $510 is possible. But have to coordinate with my other friends. They are very troublesome one. Got many commitments. So I also dunno if this trip will be successful or not. If they cannot make it, I will go with my family.

Puncture..........
Today, I started my violin lesson at a new music school. While on my way there, I heard some noise coming from one of the tyres! Since I was on the expressway, I could not do anything except to drive a bit slower. Until I reached my music school, I came out but could not see anything funny. So I went for my lesson. 1 hour later, I walked to my car and found that the tyre which produced sound was flat! So I called up my brother for help. But he was at a meeting and could not help me. Then, I try to change it myself. This is the first time I encountered such thing and really felt helpless. I dunno how to even take out the jack! One person immediately came to my mind -- my violin teacher. I sms him to borrow a touchlight but he offered to help. I think about 15 mins later, the tyre was changed! I never expect him to be that experienced! I felt so embarrassed to cause him to dirty his hands and clothes. I hereby thanks him once again!
By the way, I got my new Ikea card yesterday. Guess what? Actually, my points will expire until 15th September! And guess what again? There is a promotion right now. If redeem more than 50 points from 2nd September till dunno when, I get 30 points free!!! Ahh! That means I lugi that 30 points which I can get another freebie. Heh heh. I sound very cheapskate but free mah.
